About SomosVC

SomosVC is a group of experienced venture investors focused on growing and supporting the Latino/a venture capital ecosystem. We aim to grow the number of Latino/a professionals in venture capital, help Latino/a venture investors grow their careers and network, and increase the dollars flowing to Latino/a venture investors.

About the Program

Our 8-week program is designed to support mid- to senior-level operators and founders ready to step into venture. Inspired by Latino/a builders and open to all who believe capital should reflect the world it serves, the program equips you with the tools, insight, and confidence to start investing. Whether you're writing your first angel check or preparing for a Partner-level role, you'll leave with a clear investing toolkit, a sharpened thesis, and a community to back bold ideas with purpose.

• Curriculum: Eight weekly virtual sessions focused on topics like how to angel invest, how to evaluate an early-stage company, and how to build a thesis. Experienced investors will join to help facilitate the training. There will also be optional office hours and events.
• Mentorship: Each participant will be paired with an experienced GP at the end of the program to receive personalized support.
• Project-based learning: Participants will participate in hands-on learning, including interactive case study sessions where we will re-create investment committees. In addition, they will work on thesis building and receive personalized, in-depth feedback.
• Deal flow: For those who are interested in starting to actively angel invest, there will be opportunities to receive exclusive deal flow opportunities from the SomosVC community.
